LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The City of Las Vegas is warning against a new scam posing as the Planning Commission.

The city says there’s a fake letter and invoice using the city seal and the planning commission name. The scam asks people for a payment of an “Application Review and Approval Fee.”

The City of Las Vegas says they do not send letters or bills for additional payments and will never ask for wire transfers or payments via email.

If you receive this scam:

  • Do not send money.
  • Do not send personal or business information.
  • Report it by calling 702-229-6303.
