LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Clark County commissioners addressed illegal pet breeders in a Tuesday meeting.
Commissioner Michael Naft asked for the board’s support in strengthening punishments for people caught breeding without a license. Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick agreed with the plea.
“There has to be something so people know we’re serious, because it’s not fair to the animals for one, and we’re really trying to find a safe place for them,” Naft said. “It’s getting harder to do that.”
This was not an action item, so there was no vote on it Tuesday. However, Naft requested to bring it back up next month to put a plan together.
