Crews quickly brought the blaze under control, preventing it from spreading further into the home, said CCFD officials.

During the search, firefighters located a cat inside the residence and brought the animal outside safely. Paramedics evaluated one person at the scene for minor injuries; that individual was not transported to a hospital.

A total of 30 firefighters responded to the blaze. The Clark County Fire Department received assistance from NV Energy, Southwest Gas, and the American Red Cross.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Officials are asking drivers and residents to avoid the area as emergency crews clean the scene, and traffic remains impacted.
