LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — An eight-vehicle injury crash, including a semi-tractor-trailer, is blocking multiple lanes on I-15 southbound just north of I-215 in Las Vegas, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
Troopers responded about 10:08 a.m. to the collision on I-15 southbound just north of I-215. Multiple emergency medical units were on scene.
NHP said one vehicle ended up on top of another vehicle in the crash.

Two people were taken from the scene, including the driver of the semi, authorities said. The extent of injuries was not immediately available.
Several travel lanes were closed as officials investigated but reopened just after 12 p.m.
Authorities also reported the southbound Russell Road collector-distributor was closed for access to both I-215 and I-15. Tow trucks were en route, and an estimated time for reopening all lanes was not immediately known.
