LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – As if Super Bowl fans needed another reason to celebrate, the NFL put on a Chinese New Year’s party at the Super Bowl Experience.

Lunar New Year officially starts Saturday, but the NFL’s starting the festivities a bit early with a special exhibit recognizing the Year of the Dragon.

The Super Bowl Experience opens Friday afternoon at three. It’s open Saturday from 10 am until 10 pm. Tickets are $50.

The stars came out for the NFL awards show at Resorts World in Las Vegas.

The NFL Honors isn’t just an awards show for the player sin the present, it’s also an event that immortalizes those who’ve played before. During Thursday night’s ceremony, the Pro Football Hall of Fame added seven more members to the list of legends enshrined in Canton.

Getting their coveted gold jackets this summer will be:

  • Andre Johnson – Wide receiver (Texans, Colts, Titans)
  • Devin Hester – Return specialist/Kickoff returner, Wide Receiver (Bears)
  • Dwight Freeney – Defense End (Colts)
  • Julius Peppers – Defensive end (Panthers, Bears)
  • Patrick Willis – Linebacker (49ers)
  • Steve McMichael – Defensive tackle (Packers, Bears, Patriots)
  • Randy Gradisher – Linebacker (Broncos)
Andre Johnson, Dwight Freeney and Julius Peppers are among those who are headed to Canton.
