LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A 47-year-old man died after suffering critical injuries in a crash Tuesday night on North Lamb Boulevard, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Police said the collision happened around 8:51 p.m. on North Lamb Boulevard north of East Washington Avenue.
Investigators said a red 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling northbound when the driver failed to maintain a travel lane, left the roadway to the right, hit the east curb and then struck a power utility pole.
Emergency medical crews responded and began life-saving measures before the driver was taken to University Medical Center’s Trauma Center with life-threatening injuries.
Police said impairment had not been determined due to the driver’s condition.
The Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner notified LVMPD that the driver — the sole occupant of the Jeep — succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at UMC on May 21, police said.
The investigation remains ongoing.
