LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Las Vegas police are responding to a southeast valley crash that killed one person and left two others with life-threatening injuries Friday afternoon.

According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the two-vehicle crash was reported around 11:33 a.m. at Boulder Highway and Emerald Avenue, near Russell Road.

One person has died at the scene, and two others have been transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, police say.

Police advise the public to avoid the area. All north and southbound lanes on Boulder Highway are expected to remain closed for several hours.
