LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A driver is injured after crashing into a power pole in eastern Las Vegas Valley on Wednesday morning.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Desert Inn Road and Racquet Street, which occurred around 3:20 a.m.
It was determined during a preliminary investigation that a blue sedan struck and damaged an NV Energy power pole. The driver was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
NV Energy personnel are currently at the scene to assess the damage, police say.
Currently, Desert Inn Road is closed between Eastern Avenue and Topaz Road due to debris in the road, LVMPD’s investigation, and NV Energy’s assessment. This closure will remain in place until the investigation is completed and NV Energy has made all necessary repairs.
