LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Silver Knights were shut out Wednesday night, falling 4-0 to the Colorado Eagles in Game 3 of the Divisional Semifinals at Blue FCU Arena in Loveland, Colorado.
The teams traded chances in a scoreless first period, but strong goaltending at both ends kept the game tied. Colorado scored twice early in the second period, with Alex Gagne and Tye Felhaber finding the net just over 90 seconds apart.
Tristen Nielsen added another goal nine minutes later, making it 3-0. Nielsen then scored an empty-net goal with 15 seconds left to finish a 4-0 win.
The Silver Knights will need a win on Friday to take the series to a decisive game five on Sunday.
