LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A popular alternative/punk-metal music festival that has been in hiatus since 2016 is making its return to Las Vegas.
The Extreme Thing Sports & Music Festival is returning to Las Vegas for its 25th anniversary on Saturday, March 20, 2027, at the Desert Breeze Event Center.
The event will offer new and longtime fans of the festival multiple stages, showcasing some of the biggest names in alternative music, some of which are from from Extreme Thing’s earlier years. Fans will also get to enjoy from a number of extreme sports demonstrations, Freakshow Wrestling, interactive fan experiences, lifestyle vendors, a full food truck village.

Also returning will be the beloved Local Band competition where local bands will compete for a chance to perform on the festival’s Rockstars of Tomorrow Stage.
“Extreme Thing has always been more than a festival, it’s a piece of Las Vegas history,” said Brian Saliba, founder and creator of Extreme Thing Sports & Music Festival.
“Bringing it back for the 25th anniversary means reuniting the generations who grew up with Extreme Thing, while introducing an entirely new generation to the music, energy, and culture that made it a Las Vegas icon.”
Early-bird tickets are slated to go on sale Friday, September 4, 2026, at 10 a.m., and start at $50.
