LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas Fire & Rescue responded to a house fire in the western Las Vegas Valley on Thursday afternoon.

Firefighters initially received a call regarding a two-story house fire in the 300 block of Dockside Court around 2:13 p.m. Initial units arrived around 2:19 p.m. and observed heavy smoke coming from the building.

Crews began working to contain the fire to protect neighboring homes, and fought the fire for over twenty minutes.

The first unit arrived at 2:19 p.m. Crews arrived on the scene and began to contain the fire as there was heavy smoke. Crews fought this fire for over twenty minutes and were able to protect the neighboring homes.

No civilian or staff injuries were reported, though one car was found deceased by crews.

Additionally, two dogs were found and are currently with Animal Protection Services.
