LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says more motorcycles are on the road this time of year, and officers are reminding riders to stay safe.
New riders can get hands-on experience at a free ride day Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Red Rock Harley-Davidson’s Rainbow location near Sahara.
Additional training is also available for riders who want to improve their skills or get a motorcycle endorsement.

So far this year, 21 of the 83 traffic deaths have involved motorcyclists.
Las Vegas police say a lack of proper training or licensing continues to be a problem.
