LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Hard Rock Las Vegas Hotel & Casino held a topping off ceremony Friday to celebrate placing the final beam on its new guitar hotel tower.

Leaders called it one of the most significant transformations on the Strip in 20 years and a new icon for the Las Vegas skyline.

Construction began in the summer of 2024. Once complete, the property will feature more than 3,700 hotel rooms, new restaurants, shops, and expanded gaming and meeting space.

Hard Rock Las Vegas said the resort will employ about 6,000 people.

The event honored construction partners Penta and McCarthy and the thousands of workers on site. Executives from Hard Rock International, the Seminole Tribe, construction firms, and Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom attended.

When complete, Hard Rock Las Vegas will have 3,700 hotel rooms, about 175,000 square feet of gaming space, more than 200,000 square feet of meeting space, new restaurants, lounges and retail.
