LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Henderson City Manager Stephanie Garcia-Vause has announced who will move in as the new acting chief following a retirement announcement.
Captain Anthony Branchini will become the acting chief for the Henderson Police Department in June.

Officials confirmed Acting Chief Itzhak Henn’s will retire this summer after 26 years of service.
“Selecting a Captain ensures the recruitment process for the Chief remains fair and equitable, given that the Deputy Chiefs are eligible to apply. Captain Branchini has 26 years in the department.” said the City of Henderson.
The police chief recruitment closes on Monday, May 12.
A spokesperson says the city has received a significant number of applications and anticipates announcing a new chief this summer.
