LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Saturday night’s fireworks show scheduled to launch from Resorts World Las Vegas, Fontainebleau Las Vegas and The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower has been rescheduled due to forecasted sustained winds expected to exceed 30 mph.
Organizers said the show is now set for 9 p.m. Sunday, June 28, weather permitting.
Officials said launching fireworks in excessive wind could jeopardize the safety of both the fireworks crew and spectators.
Meanwhile, the Thunderbirds flyover is still scheduled to proceed as planned, with jets departing Nellis Air Force Base at 7:15 p.m.
