LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — In court documents obtained by FOX5, new images released of the deadly City of Las Vegas workplace shooting show the aftermath inside a downtown maintenance facility, as prosecutors move the case forward with a grand jury indictment alleging first-degree murder.
The Clark County grand jury indicted Brysen Alexander Kim in connection with the June 12 shooting death of coworker Joey McLean, according to court documents.
Prosecutors allege Kim committed murder in the first degree, including under Nevada’s felony murder rule, which can elevate a killing to first-degree murder when it occurs during certain underlying crimes.
The indictment also includes a charge of burglary while in possession of a firearm or deadly weapon.
In the case, prosecutors allege Kim unlawfully entered and remained in a building — a City of Las Vegas facility — while armed, the court documents detailed.
The indictment further alleges Kim used unlawful force or violence against another person.
McLean, a city maintenance worker, died from a gunshot wound to the head, according to court documents.
Las Vegas police have said officers responded just after 6 a.m. June 12 to the 400 block of North 7th Street near Mesquite Avenue after reports of a shooting involving city employees.
Investigators have said the 911 caller was the suspect, who told dispatchers he had shot his coworker.

Police and city records have described a months-long dispute between the two men leading up to the shooting.
An arrest report previously obtained by FOX5 described witness accounts in which supervisors said Kim punched McLean, continued kicking him, and then pulled out a gun and fired.
Kim later pleaded not guilty, according to court records. He is being held at the Clark County Detention Center as the case continues.
