LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Las Vegas Grand Prix has settled with those who went to the 2023 Grand Prix, specifically free practice 1.

That night, an exposed manhole cover stopped practice for hours and sent people home. Those impacted and eligible for a claim should get a notice.

A judge will determine a final amount to disperse in November.

The Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix provided FOX5 a statement, “We’re pleased this matter has reached a fair resolution for fans and provides a path forward. Our focus remains on the upcoming FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX 2026 and delivering a world-class experience for our fans.

Individuals seeking additional information should refer directly to the official settlement website or the contact information included in the notice materials.”
