LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police are investigating after a motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving an RTC bus.
According to a police report, officers responded to the area of Tropicana and Jimmy Durante at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Monday. An RTC bus was eastbound on Tropicana, attempting to make a left turn onto Jimmy Durante.
Police said a motorcycle traveling west on Tropicana at a high rate of speed ran the red light at the intersection, causing the motorcycle to collide with the bus. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead from his injuries.
No passengers on the RTC bus were injured. Tropicana was closed in both directions from Jimmy Durante to Wetlands Park Lane.
