LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – After heavy police presence near Decatur Boulevard and Vegas Drive, a suspect was arrested overnight Thursday.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says they found a stolen vehicle, and when they walked up to it, the suspect with a gun ran away.
According to the news release, he did fire shots at police, but no officers were hurt.
Metro and SWAT later found the suspect and took him to the hospital for injuries from K-9s.
Police say the suspect left his own dog behind, which is now in the custody of Animal Protective Services.
