LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department provided new details and images regarding a Downtown Las Vegas Apartment shooting that led to a barricade.
A 911 caller reported a disturbance at an apartment complex in Downtown Las Vegas, Tuesday, April 21, just before 5 p.m. in the 200 block of North 11th Street, near Ogden Avenue, according to LVMPD.
The suspect, identified as 39-year-old George Barrios, broke a glass table and charged a woman carrying luggage, according to the 911 caller.
Officers located barrios on the fourth floor of the apartment complex, where he refused to comply. Officials say barrios pulled a gun from the waistband of his pants, which led police to fire two rounds at Barrios.

Barrios went inside his apartment, and the incident was deemed a barricade. SWAT used a non-lethal weapon and LVMPD K9 to arrest Barrios.
According to LVMPD, Barrios did not suffer from any gunshot wounds but did have minor injuries due to the non-lethal tactic.
Daniel Abraham, 22, who has been employed with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department since 2025, was identified as the officer who fired his gun, according to officials.
“Anytime there is an officer-involved shooting it impacts everyone,” said Bryan Peterson, assistant Sheriff from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Police say Barrios faces four counts of assault with a deadly weapon on a protected person, resisting a public officer with a firearm, and a prohibited person with a gun.
Barrios is set to appear in court on Monday, April 27.
