LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Three officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department were honored with an award after their quick actions led to saving a woman’s life.

According to a social media post, Officer Marcolini, Officer Manzanedo, and Officer Silva from LVMPD South Central Area Command acted quickly when they found a woman trapped on the second floor at the location of an active fire on Wednesday.

The building was seen engulfed in flames as one of the officers climbed onto a trash receptacle to help the woman reach the ground safely.

“I’m so sorry,” she said as she was assisted out of the burning building without incident.

LVMPD said that the officers received an award for their heroism.
