LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A semi-truck driver was injured Monday morning after his vehicle tipped over in the central valley, police say.
Officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to the area of McWilliams Avenue and J Street around 5 a.m. The driver of the truck was found pinned between the truck and a barricade and is expected to have serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Medical and fire crews are currently on scene to help extract the driver. Police add that it is currently unknown if impairment is a factor.
The intersection will remain closed until further notice and the public is advised to avoid the scene. An investigation is ongoing.
