LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — From 1940s rodeo dust and Triple-A baseball to professional soccer, a historical landmark for Las Vegas sports is preparing for its final whistle.
Cashman Field will host its final sports season in 2026, with Las Vegas Lights looking to conclude the spots run after being purchased by homebuilder company Lennar in 2025. As of Thursday, no announcement has been made as to where the team could end up next season.
After serving as a rodeo ground, baseball home, and concert venue, the stadium welcomed the Las Vegas Lights FC in 2018, The team went on to see their first playoff berth in 2024 and is slated to play their last season at the venue in 2026.
On Thursday, the team announced that they would host their Farewell to Cashman Night Saturday, October 17 when they host their final game of the season against Lexington SC.

With only 11 games remaining in the season, six of which are at home, Lights FC remains in prime playoff contention. Currently sitting in eighth place in the Western Conference, the team holds the conference’s final postseason spot.
