LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A man accused of jumping over the bench and onto a Las Vegas District Court judge refused to face a different judge in a different courtroom.

Deobra Redden was a no-show for a hearing scheduled for Thursday morning.

Just a day before, now-viral video captured Redden leaping across the bench and onto Judge Mary Kay Holthus Wednesday afternoon. Redden was in court to be sentenced for attempted battery with substantial bodily harm.

The same video appears to show him attacking a marshal. That court officer remains hospitalized.

The judge presiding over today’s pre-trial hearing transferred Redden’s case to a different court. He’s now scheduled to appear on January 9th.
