LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A man is dead after being shot in the west Las Vegas valley on Tuesday night.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department received multiple reports around 9:22 p.m. of a man “shot and down” in the 2100 block of Club Pacific Way, near Lake Mead and Buffalo.
Arriving officers located the man suffering from a gunshot wound, and requested medical transport. It was determined that the suspect fled before police arrival.
The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he would die.
Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation, which is ongoing at this time. Police say that there does not appear to be a danger to the public at large.
