LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Mob Museum has released new renderings and details for its planned campus expansion in downtown Las Vegas, building on a land purchase first announced in July 2022.

The National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement bought a nearly 30,000-square-foot wedge-shaped parcel directly east of its current home, bordered by Stewart Avenue to the south and Fourth Street to the east and northeast.

Museum officials say the added space gives them flexibility to add new facilities while preserving the integrity of the museum’s historic building.

According to the museum, the expansion vision includes a new building featuring ticketing, visitor orientation, a lobby gathering space and a theater.

Plans also call for additional exhibit gallery space designed for public displays as well as private events and after-hours uses.

The museum says the project is intended to help it welcome more visitors and expand its cultural, educational and economic impact across Southern Nevada.

The Mob Museum is located at 300 Stewart Ave, near 3rd Street in downtown Las Vegas.
