LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Mesquite police say dozens of dogs seized in an animal cruelty investigation last month have now been vaccinated, given health checks, and are ready for adoption.
The city’s animal shelter is coordinating with several rescue partners, including the Humane Society of Northern Utah, Henderson Animal Control, and Pawsitive Vegas.
Another group, Path 4 Paws, has offered assistance but has not taken any dogs so far

Officials say the shelter is still caring for several puppies and about 17 adult dogs. Police also confirm the suspect appeared in court on Wednesday.
Authorities say 77 dogs were seized from an RV on Friday, May 15, after months of complaints about a local home reportedly housing an excessive number of dogs.
Investigators say the suspect was issued multiple misdemeanor citations at the time, and the case remains under investigation as officials consider additional criminal charges.
