LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled a Fernando Mendoza bobblehead Friday, featuring the Raiders’ new quarterback standing next to the iconic “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign.

Both Mendoza’s head and the sign bobble on the collectible, according to Phil Sklar, co-founder and CEO of the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum.

“We’re really excited to be unveiling today the Fernando Mendoza Welcome to Las Vegas bobblehead,” said Sklar. “It’s a really fun, unique bobblehead. Great way for fans to get excited to welcome him to the city.”

The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and is the only museum in the world dedicated to bobbleheads. The museum has over 10,000 unique bobbleheads on display, ranging from sports to pop culture and politics.

The museum has been producing bobbleheads since 2014. Bobbleheads are still hand-sculpted out of clay for the initial design, according to Sklar.

The museum previously produced bobbleheads for Mendoza when he played at Indiana, allowing them to use that design for the new Las Vegas version. The museum also previously produced a Las Vegas sign bobblehead.

“When we thought of this idea, we were like, hey, this is pretty easy because we can take our existing Fernando Mendoza bobblehead and put them with the little scaled down version of the Las Vegas sign,” said Sklar.

The bobbleheads became available Friday at store.bobbleheadhall.com for $45 each, plus a flat rate shipping of $8. Each bobblehead will be individually numbered.
