ELY, Nev. (KOLO) – A Nevada man accused of kidnapping his 3-year-old daughter has been found in Utah.
Officials say 50-year-old Shawn Ashdown took his daughter from her home in Ely and had been staying in campsites for more than a month.
Ashdown allegedly told deputies that the girl’s mother was a bad influence, and when he drug-tested the daughter it came back positive for THC.
Ashdown now faces several felony charges, including child abuse with injury and kidnapping.
