LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Nevada State University has shattered enrollment records for the fall 2026 semester, welcoming thousands of students and one of the largest freshman classes in its history.
Nevada State University officials say the university opened its fall 2026 semester with a record enrollment of over 8,800 students, including one of its largest-ever freshman classes of more than 550.
While these preliminary figures are still being finalized, university officials emphasized their continued focus on student support, academic progress, and career readiness from day one through graduation.

“This milestone reflects the trust students and their families place in Nevada State and the opportunities they see here,” said Nevada State University President Dr. Sandra Richtermeyer. “Our faculty and staff are deeply focused on student success, creating a teaching-centered environment where students receive personal support, build meaningful connections and know they belong.”
Nevada State University is located at 1300 Nevada State Drive, near I-11, in Henderson.
