LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A 55-year-old man from the Philippines has been arrested in Las Vegas for reported arson, domestic violence, and possession of a controlled substance.
FOX5 obtained a press release from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for Jaime Tan Francisco. Officials say he’s an illegal alien who has prior convictions for possession of meth and harassment.
ICE said Francisco entered the U.S. via Detroit in 2000 but violated the terms of his admission and went on to commit a series of crimes. He was arrested in July by Las Vegas police.

“Francisco entered the U.S. in April of 2000, but violated the terms of his admission and went on to commit a series of crimes,” said ICE Director David Venturella. “He was convicted of misdemeanor harassment on July 5, 2006, and then of methamphetamine possession in 2014. On July 25 this year, Las Vegas police arrested him for domestic battery, using or possessing drug paraphernalia, resisting an officer, attempted arson and drug possession. Criminal illegal aliens are unwelcome in the U.S., and ICE is partnering with state and local police to keep them off our streets and out of our communities.”
After his arrest in Las Vegas in July, ICE took Francisco into custody on August 2, where he’ll stay pending removal proceedings.
