LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Law enforcement agencies across Nevada came together this past Saturday for the fifth annual Joining Forces “May You Choose Not to Drive Impaired” campaign, held in memory of Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Micah May, who died in the line of duty on July 29, 2021.
The statewide enforcement effort focused on removing impaired drivers from Nevada roadways to help prevent crashes and save lives. Multiple agencies participated in the campaign, which is funded by the Nevada Department of Public Safety Office of Traffic Safety.

Officers recorded the following totals during the enforcement period:
- Traffic stops: 485
- Citations: 296
- Arrests: 32
- Suspected impaired driving arrests: 26
The Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Division thanked its partner law enforcement agencies for participating in the campaign and for their shared commitment to keeping Nevada roads safe.
The division also acknowledged Nevadans who choose to drive sober and help protect others traveling on state roadways.
