LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A woman accused of injuring a duck on the Las Vegas Strip could soon be released after a judge modified her custody conditions Tuesday.
During the hearing, a judge approved the modified release terms for Destiny Reyes, who is facing a felony animal cruelty charge after allegedly removing a duck from a fountain at the Venetian, dropping it, and forcefully spreading its wings.
While the specific changes to her release terms were not detailed in court records, jail logs show Reyes remains in custody.

The judge also continued the status check regarding Reyes’ acceptance into a treatment facility to a later date, court records show.
The rulings follow a decision last week to reject a defense motion to dismiss the felony charge, allowing the trial to move forward.
