LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has released new video showing the tense moments after a police K9 was stabbed multiple times last week.

In the video, you can see the large response to get Enzo to the hospital in rapid time. Metro used every resource necessary including air support from the agency’s helicopter.

The scene of the stabbing was over 18 miles away from the emergency animal hospital, video captions read. Officers were also competing with rush hour traffic resulting in the sole option to transport Enzo via the chopper.

The video shows LVMPD patrol units closing down roads in order to land their helicopter right on the street.

Thurman Lowe is accused of stabbing the K9 several times during a barricade situation near Charleston and Las Vegas Boulevard on March 29. He was later arrested and booked in absentia. Lowe is also accused in a murder case in St. Louis, according to St. Louis authorities.
