LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – North Las Vegas Police said a stolen vehicle led police on a chase before it ran through a stop sign, hitting two other cars.

NLVPD said the incident started around 10:42 a.m. Tuesday when police spotted the car occupied near Civic Center Drive and Tonopah Avenue. Police said the white Kia Sportage SUV was reported stolen out of Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction.

Police said they tried to pull the car over but it began to drive recklessly eastbound on Tonopah, approaching Pecos. That’s when police said the Kia didn’t stop at the stop sign and hit two vehicles. NLVPD said the Kia rolled over and came to a rest upside down.

NLVPD said a male driver and two female passengers in the Kia were taken to University Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.

Two other people who were in the vehicles that were hit were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

NLVPD has closed parts of Pecos and Tonopah as they investigate.
