LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A pedestrian is dead after a crash in east Las Vegas Friday night, Nevada Highway Patrol says.

NSP says a crash between a sedan and a pedestrian happened Friday after 10:30 p.m. on Lake Mead Boulevard at mile marker eight, near Pabco Road. Troopers said an adult man, the pedestrian, died at the scene.

NSP says road closures are in place near Lake Mead Boulevard at Pabco Road and at State Route 564 and North Shore Road. Officials say roads will be closed for an unknown amount of time for investigation.

The public is advised to avoid the area as police investigate. No immediate details were provided about any occupants inside the sedan or whether speed or impairment is involved.
