LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Two CCSD Police K9s are now at home and resting after being exposed to “illegal and extremely dangerous drugs” when assisting on a search warrant.

FOX5 previously reported on Ace and Peppermint Thursday. According to district police, the dogs were quickly removed from the location and their handlers administered NARCAN.

Police said they showed signs of recovery immediately after NARCAN was administered. They were taken to Veterinary Emergency + Critical Care.

“We wanted to let everyone know that both Ace and Peppermint are still resting and recovering at home,” police said. “Thank you to everyone who’s reached out in support and shared some personal stories about these two amazing pups!”

Police said the two K9s and their handlers will be back at work Monday.
