LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Las Vegas police said two suspects tied to a fatal shooting at a southeast Las Vegas business center two weeks ago are in custody.

Police said an employee was shot and killed during an attempted robbery. Family members identified him as Reynaldo Rodis II.

Suspects arrested in St. Paul

Investigators confirmed the two suspects were located in Minnesota. On Tuesday, the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office said it arrested Antwan Terry, 36, and Anthony Terry, 38, in St. Paul.

Both suspects face charges of open murder with use of a deadly weapon, robbery, first-degree kidnapping and conspiracy to commit robbery, according to the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office.

What investigators say happened

LVMPD said the shooting happened the morning of Oct. 15 as men tried to rob the business center. Investigators said Rodis tried to stop the robbery by lunging at one of the suspects. Police say he was shot and killed at the scene.

Family remembers Rodis

Rodis’ sister is remembering her brother and all of the memories they’ve built throughout their lives.

“We’re a year apart, so we’re like two peas in a pod,” she said. “We got so many things, so many fun memories.”

She said friends and coworkers knew him as a boxing fan with a big heart and a big spirit.

“Well, Ray, he has a very big personality,” she said. “He’s very generous, very kind.”

Family reacts to arrests

The family said the arrests brought relief.

“Finding out that two of the suspects have been apprehended was a big relief,” she said. “One, not just justice for Ray, but also taking these criminals off the street. Because apparently they’ve had rap sheets. They’ve done this before.”

The family said it is grateful for the community’s support. The family said it believes two other suspects remain at large.

“These are hard times for us, but my brother was an amazing man,” she said.
