LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center announced today it has been officially designated as a Level I Trauma Center by the State of Nevada, the highest level of trauma care available.
Hospital leaders said the designation reflects Sunrise’s commitment to trauma care, physician training and research across the state.
Level I Trauma Centers are equipped to deliver comprehensive care for traumatic injuries — from prevention through rehabilitation — and must meet rigorous standards set by state and national accrediting organizations, according to the hospital.
