LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — New video obtained by FOX5 shows the moment a suspect flees on an e-bike after shooting an off-duty corrections officer earlier this week.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says it’s searching for the suspect who was last seen wearing a half-style helmet, dark green jacket, dark pants, and a face covering at the time of the shooting.

Officers responded to reports of the shooting at a business in the 7600 block of West Cheyenne Avenue, near Buffalo, at approximately 8:43 p.m.
A man, later learned to be an off-duty LVMPD corrections officer, was located suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Detectives from LVMPD’s Violent Gun Crime Unit responded to the scene, according to police. Through the investigation, detectives learned the victim was walking out of a nearby business when a male on a black electric bicycle rode past him through the parking lot, police said.
The suspect then rode past the victim again, produced a firearm, and fired several rounds in the direction of the off-duty corrections officer, striking him, according to police.
The suspect fled the area on the electric bicycle before officers arrived, police said.
