LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Friends, family and community members gathered to remember and honor the lives of Amanda and Victor Frias Rosas.
The married couple was shot and killed in a targeted attack last week inside a Smith’s grocery store.
“When you wake up in the morning, and you turn the news on, you never expect that when you see a story like this, that it would one day affect you,” a family member said. “We were one of those people. We were one of those families.”

Amanda and Victor Frias Rosas were shot and killed inside the Smiths on Maryland Parkway and Silverado Ranch, where they were employees.
The suspect, Armando Estrada, was in a previous relationship with Amanda and was going through a long custody battle. Estrada is accused of shooting and killing the couple.
Outside of that same store, Amanda’s daughter told the crowd who her mom was to her.
“First of all, they were truly a great couple. They were very beautiful,” she said. “And for second of all, she was like a weirdo, but that was okay. Because she made me laugh all the time. And for the third, they took care of us really well.”
Amanda’s little brother also shared memories, saying he will miss the mornings he spent with her and Victor when he would come to town to visit.
