LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – What is the secret to slot machines? It’s an age-old question players have asked for years.

FOX5 sat down with a Las Vegas Valley slot machine manufacturer to get an inside look at how they make their games.

The company is called Bluberi Gaming, best known for their game Devil’s Lock.

Their CEO Andrew Burke says, although there’s not one secret, a lot goes into making a good game. Especially here in Nevada, which he calls the “epicenter of gaming.”

“It’s a very competitive market, you really have to be ready to come here. I always talk about it like this is Broadway, you don’t want to have your product half ready,” Burke says.

Bluberi’s Chief Product Officer Mike Brennan says a team of around ten people work on developing each game, including an artist, motion designer, and a mathematician.

He says they take a few months to design the game, before it is tested on a focus group right here in Las Vegas.

“That’s why we test games here, because I do believe if you can satisfy a Nevada local player, you’re going to get it everywhere else,” Brennan says.

Even though they test their games in Nevada, they’re not licensed here yet. They’ve been working on their Nevada Gaming License for over a year now, and they’re hoping to get it within a few months.

But, Burke says they’re not stopping with Nevada, he hopes to eventually get the company licensed in every jurisdiction in North America.
