LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – We now know the final four teams vying for a chance to play at the Super Bowl in Las Vegas: the Kansas City Chiefs, the Baltimore Ravens, the San Francisco 49ers and the Detroit Lions. Tourism stats show a peek into whose fans may travel best.

Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority has tracked the top feeder markets traveling by plane to Las Vegas between 2017-2022. It’s no surprise that the closer the city, the more likely to visit Sin City.

The San Francisco Bay Area is the most traveled to Las Vegas, only behind Los Angeles.

Kansas City, divisional rivals whose fans may also make additional trips to Allegiant Stadium during the regular season when they face the Raiders, is last of the four final teams at no. 30. However, they have an opportunity to climb future lists with Allegiant Airlines adding a direct flight between Kansas City and Las Vegas in Sept. 2023.

Here’s where Super Bowl hopefuls stack when traveling to Las Vegas:

  • San Francisco Bay Area (49ers) — No. 2
  • Washington DC area (Baltimore) — No. 12
  • Detroit (Lions) — No. 16
  • Kansas City (Chiefs) — No. 30

Time will tell which cities travel best for the Super Bowl in Las Vegas on Feb. 11. The Ravens play the Chiefs Sunday at 12 p.m. PT; the Lions play the 49ers later that same day at 3:30 p.m. PT.
