LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A woman is dead and a man is in custody after a verbal argument turned physical at a west Las Vegas home early Tuesday morning.
Emergency crews responded to a 911 medical call around 3 a.m. at a home in the 4300 block of Esmeralda Avenue, near Sahara and Arville, after a man told dispatchers his wife was injured and needed help, authorities said.

Medical personnel entered the home and found a woman dead, according to police Lieutenant Robert Price. Her death was deemed suspicious, and police were called to the scene. Bolden AC officers responded and located the husband, who had made the initial call.
The man told investigators the couple had argued earlier in the night about his wife wanting to leave with their children, and he said “something bad had happened.” Police said the argument became physical, resulting in the woman’s death.
The man would later be taken into custody, with authorities adding that the incident appears to be isolated.
A young child who was present was also taken into protective custody by Child Protective Services.
