LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A woman turned herself in to Las Vegas police in connection with a deadly shooting from one week ago.

On January 17 at approximately 12:13 a.m., LVMPD dispatch received a report of a shooting on the 1400 block of Helen Belle Drive. Arriving officers found a male inside a residence suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Medical personnel responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

An investigation by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicated that the victim was involved in a physical altercation inside of the residence with several subjects before he was shot. All suspects fled the area before police arrived.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified Shaleece Brown, 33, as a suspect in this case. On January 23, Brown turned herself in to authorities at the Clark County Detention Center. She is facing four charges, including open murder and residential burglary.

Brown has a preliminary hearing in Clark County Justice Court scheduled for February 7.
