LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A teen is accused of attempting to run a “lone wolf” ISIS terror operation in Las Vegas, including trying to make explosive devices and possibly targeting a high school, according to court documents.
A Grand Jury indicted Joshua Robles on eight terrorism-related charges, including five charges of possession of a component of explosive or incendiary device.
A source confirms that Robles is 17 years old.
According to the indictment, Robles’ crimes took place between July 13, 2022 and Nov. 29, 2023. Prosecutors allege Robles intended to support ISIS, saying Robles gathered explosive material “to target one or more areas within Clark County, NV.”
Prosecutors also said Robles had a floor plan map of Chaparral High School as part of his materials in planning a terror plot.
In one instance, prosecutors allege that Robles pledged his allegiance to ISIS in an online chat room.
“Peace by upon all brothers who see this. I am here to announce that I will be starting lone wolf operations in Las Vegas against the enemies of Allah,” prosecutors said Robles posted, along with an image of the ISIS flag. “I ask you to make Dua for victory. I am a supporter of the Islamic State, and I will make sure the zionists in this city know it.”
Prosecutors also allege that Robles had collected several items to construct an improvised explosive device, or IED.
Robles was indicted by a Grand Jury Friday, according to court records. An indictment warrant has been issued with a $1 million bail.
