LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police said Atlanta rapper Lil Baby was caught on video with a concealed weapon at a Strip casino.
Lil Baby, whose real name is Dominique Jones, was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon without a permit at Wynn Las Vegas. According to an arrest report, he was staying at the MGM Grand until Tuesday.
Officers were notified by Wynn security Monday around 8:30 p.m. that Jones was caught carrying a concealed weapon while gambling.
Video surveillance showed Jones carrying a tan Glock with 1 magazine and 17 9mm rounds. Jones said he gave the firearm to “his boy,” Traylor Kylen. The firearm would then be put into a black duffle bag.
Police would approach the two and place Jones under arrest for carrying a concealed weapon without a permit.
Jones explained to police that he has a permit in Georgia. However, it’s not authored in Nevada, according to LVMPD.
Jones told police he had the firearm on him previously at a nightclub, and he forgot he had it on him.
He is due in court in Las Vegas on Oct. 1. He placed bond Tuesday.
