LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police are responding to a crash involving a pedestrian west of the Strip Friday morning.

Around 11:37 p.m., officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a crash near West Flamingo Road and Cameron Street. Arriving officers located an injured pedestrian and took him to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Fatal detectives are on the scene and conducting an investigation.

Both east and westbound lanes on Flamingo will remain closed until further notice.

The public is advised to avoid the area.
