LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A court date is set for Backstreet Boys Nick Carter’s countersuit against women accusing him of sexual assault.

Shannon Ruth filed a sexual battery lawsuit against the singer-songwriter in December 2022.

Ruth, a 39-year-old woman, says she lives with with autism and cerebral palsy.

She alleges that Carter gave her alcohol and assaulted her after a concert in Tacoma, Washington in February 2001. She was 17 at the time of the alleged incident.

Carter has denied the allegation.

She’s only one of multiple women who have come forward with sexual assault allegations against Carter.

District Court released the date of the trial: August 4, 2025. There is a status check for trial readiness on May 29, 2025.
