LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Chris Bey first came to Las Vegas in 2016, with the mindset to become a professional wrestler.

In just three months, he had his first match at Future Stars of Wrestling, off of Pecos. Years of training and perfecting his craft in and out of the ring led him to a contract with TNA wrestling in 2020.

Fast forward to October 27, 2024, Chris’ life would change forever.

In what he would describe as a “routine move,” he broke his neck during a TV taping in Detroit, Michigan. Rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery, doctors had to repair his neck and spinal cord, leaving him paralyzed.

While doctors gave him a 10 to 25 percent chance to walk again, Chris saw a 75 percent chance to prove them wrong.

That’s exactly what he did. On February 13, he posted a video of him walking on X.

After his injury, the wrestling world responded with an outpour of support. All that love from fans, friends and colleagues leads to the Silverton Casino this Sunday.

Future Stars of Wrestling, or FSW, is holding a benefit show where all proceeds go to Chris.

There will be wrestlers from every major company (WWE, AEW, TNA and New Japan Pro Wrestling) who are not asking for pay, just to show up for their friend Chris.

The show starts at 5 p.m. at Veil Pavillion. Tickets are still on sale. For more information and how to support, visit this website.
